DARCY FOWLER is a writer, actor, and producer who co-created and co-wrote the animated horror comedy Little Demon on FX/Hulu, voiced by Danny DeVito, Lucy DeVito, and Aubrey Plaza, and executive produced by Dan Harmon (Rick and Morty, Community). Currently, she is developing multiple TV shows and movies, including adapting Nick Drnaso’s acclaimed graphic novel Beverly into a TV series. She was a writer on the last (and never aired) season of Netflix's Glow, and has developed, collaborated on, and sold shows to networks including Comedy Central, TBS, and AMC, as well as to studios such as Red Hour (Severance) and Picturestart (Theater Camp).
As a playwright, her work has been read and workshopped at Ensemble Studio Theatre, Primary Stages, Ars Nova, The Bushwick Starr, The Cochrane Theatre (London) and Old Vic (London).
As an actor, theatre credits include originating the female role in Chiara Atik’s two-hander Five Times in One Night at Ensemble Studio Theatre & tv/film work includes Louie, Deadbeat, Cinema Toast, Like Sunday Like Rain, and acting in stuff she co-wrote (including voicing multiple characters on Little Demon.)
She also co-produces Playlist with Heather Robb -- Playlist is a Los Angeles based event (although it started in NYC as a Youngblood benefit) that showcases the work of up-and-coming writers, musicians, actors and directors. She's a graduate of Syracuse University and a proud alumni of Ensemble Studio Theatre’s Youngblood Playwright’s Group.
