She is a proud community member of MIYAGI, The Actors Center, E.S.T. and The Civilians, and has an MFA from ACT.

Originally from La Palma, CA, and an applied mathematics major at UCLA, Cheung has been a citizen of New York City for over 25 years, and lives in Brooklyn with her husband, novelist Ed Lin, and their son.
