Susan Eve Haar is a member of The Actor’s Studio, Writer’s Guild East, Ensemble Studio Theatre and H.B. Playwright’s Unit. Her work has been produced at Primary Stages, The Women’s Project, the Meisner Theater, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and other venues. Most recently her play “Saugerties” was produced at the Hudson Guild Theater. Her work has been published in Best Short Plays 2018, Best Men’s Monologues 2018, Best Women’s Monologues 2018, 2019, and 2020. In 2019 her monologue “Waiting at The Bodyshop” was included in Monologues for Headspace Theatre, edited by Michael Bigelow Dixon. Her play “Saugerties” will be published by Applause Theater and Cinema Books. Her play “The Suitcase” won second place at the Tennessee Williams Tribute’s 10:4:TENN, national ten-minute playwriting contest.

The short film WISHLAB INC by Samuel X Deisenberger was based on her play, “Saugerties”. Recent short fiction has been published in CRAFT, Pembroke Magazine, North Dakota Quarterly, Green Lantern Review, and many other journals. Her poetry has been published in FREE STATE REVIEW and MIDWEST QUARTERLY. Her microfiction has been published in 50-WORD Stories, 101 WORDS, and Microfiction Monday. She is a recipient of a Sloan Commission and a board member of CAMIT, The Council for the Arts at MIT, the McGovern Institute, MIT, and The Center for Law, Brain and Behavior, Mass General Hospital.
