Jacquelyn writes for theatre and television. Her plays include String Fever, (Ensemble Studio Theatre, starring Cynthia Nixon and Evan Handler), an episode of Cedar City Falls, a serialized play, created/produced by Liz Tuccillo (Galapagos, Brooklyn), A Story About a Girl (JAW at Portland Center Stage), They Float Up (EST), A Very Very Short Play (EST), an A Train Play (written while riding the A train, performed at New World Stages), Girl Gone (MCC Theatre), 2B (or not 2B) (Actors Theatre of Louisville), For-everett (HB Playwrights), Dear Kenneth Blake (EST), Tunnel of Love (Naked Angels), Freeze Tag, and have been produced in New York, Los Angeles, across the country, in London, Belgrade, Berlin, and Hong Kong.
Jacquelyn wrote the Mia episodes for Emmy nominated Gabriel Byrne and Hope Davis in HBO’s Peabody Award winning season two of “In Treatment” (Executive Producer, Warren Leight). Other TV includes: “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”, “Miss Match”, and “Daria”.
Awards include: 2006 Playwriting NYFA, EST/Sloan Foundation commissions, New Dramatists’ Whitfield Cook, the Kennedy Center‘s Fund for New American Plays, and a Susan Smith Blackburn Prize finalist. She has been published in Women Playwrights: The Best Plays of 2003, several Best American Short Plays, various Best Monologues, by Samuel French and Smith & Kraus. A collection of her one-acts Things Between Us is published by Dramatists Play Service.
A New Dramatists alum, Jackie has a Playwriting MFA from Ohio University.
