Gina Barnett’s full-length plays include Phil in a Box; A Scream; Donna Morelli; After All (formerly T for 2); Stuff; Blush; The Pursuit of Happiness; Tryst and Shout; Alone At Last!; Blood Bond and Shrink Rap. Her film work includes the screenplays: Blues Duet; Four Play; The Female Infidel; In My Family. And for television Gina has written for the long running series “In the Heat of the Night”, (MGM TV) and a comedy called “Bergen Binnen for Vara”, a Dutch broadcasting company. Gina’s most recent productions include A Scream (PlayPenn); Donna Morelli (New York Stage and Film); After All (Hudson Stage). Among her awards, she was a finalist winner of the Kaufman and Hart New American Comedies (300 entrants) for her play Stuff; winner of the TheatreFest Playwriting Contest, (over 250 entrants) for her play T for 2, as well as a 2-time finalist for the Actors Theater of Louisville National Ten-Minute Play Contest and recipient of the J. R. Humphries Award in Playwriting. Her plays have been published by Vintage Press (Laugh Lines: Alone At Last!); Smith and Kraus Theater Books (Best Plays by Women Playwrights: T for 2, The Great Monologues and Great Scenes from EST Marathons); Klett Verlag (Shorts from the States, Blood Bond) and Applause Theater Books (Best Short Plays: Blood Bond).
