Going Green
As an active and responsible member of our community, EST is committed to embracing green business practices and achieving the highest level of environmental sustainability.
What We Do Now
- We use only recycled paper products in our office and bathrooms.
- All of our posters, postcards and flyers are printed on FSC® & SFI® certified paper using eco-friendly ink by Advanced Printing.
- We have replaced the light bulbs in our office, lobby and bathrooms with Energy Star certified CFLs (Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs).
- We use only biodegradable cleaning solutions.
- In our Sixth Floor Theater we build sets using only reusable flats, and in our Second Floor Theater we often produce multiple plays on a single base set to minimize the use of materials and waste.
What We Plan to Do
- Change our energy supply to draw from renewable energy sources.
- Reduce our overall energy usage in areas such as our theatrical lighting system.
- Create systems to responsibly reuse or recycle all materials used in our theater productions.
